As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Do have a look at this beautiful wallpaper!
This wall is basically just an experimentation and practice wall before I venture into my macross wall, sow henever I make that, if you see similarities, that would be why.
The thumbnail makes this wall look kinda cloudy and grainy, but it's smooth as a baby's behind. I swear.
Eventually I will upload my birdy reCG to the gallery for whoever to use. The wall itself literally took maybe...2 hours to make. It' all just stock manipulation and brushes. I just happen to like pretty colors and making walls that way.
I was really excited to hear about the new Birdy series, since I have great memories of the OVA, which I awesomely own on VHS. I haven't had much time to really watch it though, since I've been so in love with Macross Frontier, but I saw the first episode and it was pretty awesome.
This is probably the least clothing I'll ever have in a wall (unless they're naked...in an ARTISTIC way) so enjoy it while it lasts.

I love this wall so much and I will tell you why; I feel like she's going to kick me in the face... you got that angle perfect and the balance of the background, which feels like space, fits her perfect. FYI, I have the OVA's on VHS too! :) Great piece! +Fav

Argh, I have a knack lately of picking scans everyone else is using... I did a wall with this scan last week, and was saving it for later! >_< At least it's not the same :3 Anyhow, I like it, it looks really vivid and I can really see how this would translate to a Macross Frontier background. Not a fan of the text, but the stars are lovely.
Why do you insist on humiliating and crushing me with your obviously better wallpapers!
But yeah, that's a great re-cg, I really can tell the level of improvement it brings to the wallpaper. The BG is very nice as well, I like the prismatic effect you got on the light rays in the deep background. Great job!
Nice re-cg and like the stars & light & shiny part. Even when is a lot of them fits to the "ready to fight" girl. Maybe I would make a little bigger text. Own opinion of course! ;3

Oh wow very nice I sure do love me some birdy. The wallpaper is very dynamic and fun and looks like it cound be a scene straight from the anime. Love the colors too. I dont really like text on wallpapers but at least this one is subtle and not a huge distraction like so many other text on wallpapers here at animepaper. All around good stuff and thanks for sharing :)
