After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

This wall is actually has a bit of meaning... it's a tribute to music or more to the point the way music makes you feel.
Ok so Minerva was the Roman name of Greek goddess Athena. She was considered to be the virgin goddess of warriors, poetry, medicine, wisdom, commerce, crafts, and the inventor of music.
The music side is what my wall focus' on. The band called Deftones did a song called Minerva, which is basically a tribute to music, this song was the inspiration for this wall. I knew I wanted to do a wall with this theme for a while, i just couldn't find the right scan. Untill I stumbled upon Sekirei gallery. The scan had to be a female and it had have music involved somehow. The scan didn't have anything musical in it, so i added a iPod looking thing, which worked so well because of the position of her hand, thus I solved my "music theme" problem with the scan.
The background stumped me pretty bad. I spent hours trying different things. eventually got the clouds right, and the colours too. I had to get the right atmosphere... a kind of trippy feel to it. The kind of feeling you get when a your favourite song "consumes you". All this relied on the background plus i had to get it suit the vector. The text is a a bit lyrics from the Deftones song, [it's not some sentimental/polictal statement i'm trying to make. I just liked the lyics]
I came so close to giving up on the whole thing, but i'm glad i didn't. I hope you like it as much as i do.
ps - sorry to those guy's who want 4x3 size, I normally try my best to get a version of my wall for you. but couldn't do it this time. needed all the space. feel free to crop away though.
2nd ps - i don't know the characters of sekirei, coz i haven't watched it yet. but the GIRL IS MINERVA in the wall. thats whats it's got to do with music, she invented it!(for all those who are confused) :)
No problem, I always give a full view. And I can say that is really kewl. The used color and design style fits perfect with the character, and on overall I cannot detect any major flaws. Would be better a 1920x1200, together with a 4:3 version, but the current resolution is also pretty good.
Deserves my favorite in full.

Ya oak wat can i say. As always the vector work is spot on (sssshhhhaaaaaating, nice touch des) wat is really amazing to me personally, like me ya know , like wat i have noticed , is that your style is starting to come through in your vectors. ya boet im talking about the way you shaded the shadows onto the figure, it gives it that same feeling that you get from your pencil drawings (the ones that you shaded). as for the rest of the wall well...trippy? i think so i always dig how one shade of colour blends with another, when it comes to sunsets. (yes ze i got that line from you) but its true, and you have done a good job of it. its not overly realistic, which works well with the rest of the wall. the combination of red yellow black and white works very beautifully i just wonder wat it would look like if you added a lens flare , just to trip things out alittle , but anyways if there was a park bench with a silhoette of two figures in the background, it would have been 100% but i guess youll just have to settle for 99.9999999999999999% ( Diabolic LOL)
Well.. I'll be honest: besides the iPod, which in my opinion suites the overall scene very little, I don't see any relation with music at all. But it doesn't make the wall worse or something. The wallpaper-background is great. I like the sunset, which indeed is quite natural, and the clouds. I also like the birds.
The foreground is very clean, yet I even think this iPod and the earphones just don't suite her - but o well.. it's my own opinion :) nothing to worry much about.
Very nice wallpaper. Loved the anime but you don't see to many walls for it around ^_^ The background is really well done and compliments the scan perfectly! ^_^
The perspective is amazing ( i think i will break my head if i tried to make one lol XD)

the outlines are a bit jagged-edged.. it could be cooler if it was smooth flowing...
but the bg is so awesome! it resembles art painted with water color, and it's so nice
and the birds added to the beauty of the bg' the only problem (for me)
is the jaggy lines' but still an amazing wall
