I am FINALLY DONE.

Alright, so some of you may have seen this wall in Zero Session awhile back. (With an unpainted Rikku beside Sora).

While it may seem recent, I've actually planned this wall for over a year now and lost focus/motivation due to the difficult and arduous process of my intention to paint everything. Additionally, I was still not skilled enough to reproduce something like this, so I went into "training" (procrastination).

I started off with this scan:

Vectored it in illustrator, then went to paint it in PS. I originally attempted to replicate it completely, but once I got the background going I realize the lighting did not blend in well, so I recolored it. However, in the end his yellow shoes and red pants seriously affected the composition, so I just turned Sora white. Rikku was discarded after taking a suggestion from someone over Session Zero.

The entire background of clouds and rocks was painted using standard brushing and LOTS of smudging. The smudge stick became my god.
