After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

This is one of the most difficult wallpaper that i have made cause its my first time playing with Corel Painter X :D and im really happy with the result
lets talk about the process:
first i extracted the character from this scan
then i painted her ^^ i wante to make something different than not just the extraction or just vectoring the whole scan ^^ so i drew a background XD
here is my draw
after coloring the background i made more umm green things i guess they are branches or roots or something XD (the idea just poped out so i dont know what they are O.O)
then i drew some butterflies to add a magic effect on them ^^
after painting them i made some spores glowing from the girl and from the butterflies ^^
-the title "Gardenia" its from my fav band Malice Mizer ^^
TIME:this wallpaper took me 1 month and 1 week of my life T_T
SOFTWARE : Photoshop CS, Corel Painter X

It could use a little more shading though. But you still did a lovely job painting this nonetheless.

This is so amazing! When I first saw it I had a feeling that you did everything yourself. I can't believe you drew and colored the bg. I have to commend you on a job well done and creative as well.

I have a question though...when you used painter, did you use a tablet? If so, what kind?
I've been trying to get into painting myself, but I don't have a great tablet (it makes jagged lines even when I curve the stroke), so I was wondering if there was a way around that.

Oh nice, I thought this was going to be original anime art before I saw the category for it. Then again, you've really put your own style into it, I wouldn't recognize it as an Okama illustration without the scan like there. The line work makes it look very hand drawn and you did a really great job coloring the vines :3
I love the background. Very well done. Only thing that bothers me is the girl...but I think that's no fault of your own. I think the hair/hair piece? is weirding me out. The girl doesn't quite fit. However,the bizarreness of the girl matches the theme. Anyway, Nice Job!
