After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
Happy belated birthday, Kitten-chan! At least it's not as late as usual. Still a bit late though. What happened was, I had another present I was working on for Kitten, it would have been a much better gift if I had finished it, but since it's not something I'm used to and is still far from being done I decided to make this and submit the other one later, when it's finished, as just a normal gift :)
So! Since the other gift I'm making is not a dark wall, I figured I should give Kitten something dark She's the master after all. This wall was made to represent the other side of people. I think everyone has at least a bit of a dark side; a side that you usually keep to yourself. And dark side doesn't necessarily mean bad, nuh-uh. I chose this scan of Rena for it...mostly because I love the scan XD But it also fit with the theme. Those who have watched Higurashi know that there's more than one side to Rena.
I haven't vectored in SO LONG. So I'm a bit rusty. I'm so glad I started again though. Without vectoring I just don't feel like myself. I enjoyed vectoring Rena, fun part I guess was the sunburn-like stuff on her shoulders and elbows, and her eyes. I vectored her whole dress but ended up cropping half of it for the wall.
Then the wall; I created everything from scratch, basically, besides the overlayed textures. On my last wall with similar lighting (Tsukiakari) I was reminded that the shadow of the window panes would conform to the body's shape, so I tried to work on that here, hope it looks better. I added the roses so it wouldn't be empty, and tried to make the text look like part of the shadow in a way.
Vampire version inspired by Kitten-chan's trademark blood ^^ I understand now. The blood was fun XD Blood brushes courtesy of Ann Frost @ Deviantart.

Doesn't look like your skills are rusty to me! :D Great job on the vector, and I like the texture you used---just the right amount of grain. I think the background might have looked too simple, if you hadn't added the window shadows, so good call on those :D

Wow this is beautiful, every single detail is so pricise and artistic especially the shadows the way it curves around her body. Plus the textures you used for the ground and the neatness of the vector, everything is just perfect. This is a work of art and a new fav for me

i absolutely hate the style of this anime, it's tooo digital for my taste, and those cold eyes, that remind me of [dead] toys, and especially the boobs, oh my, they just don't fit the innocent face :D well now when i got it off my chest i'll go back to the wall :D
i absolutely adore your outlines (yeah, abul was gone for like half-a-year, and nothing changed :D )
the colouring is perfect (needless to say)
the floor is great, kinda looks real but blends well with the girl (i mean overdigitalized girl :D)
and the shadow is jsut.....
i don't even know what to say, it's FANTASTIC!
so all in all, i give you a big fat A+

I get a dark and creepy feeling from it when seeing it, really how Higurashi should feel,

How lovely~ This is a beautiful and dark wallpaper, yes!! :D I love everything about it: the colors, shading, background, textures...wow. I'm not a fan of the series though...but this is great. For some reason the other versions aren't loading for me, but from the little previews, I like the moonlight one the most. ^^ Great job!
