After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
It's nice to get away from all that vectorwork every so often. Here's a wall on the other side of the spectra, technique wise: the smudgeorama painted wall featuring Howl's famous castle. When I saw the movie, one of the things that struck me most was how the castle was designed in the movie: every part moving separately, yet in a coordinated enough fashion to get the building where ever its master wished. I told my friend it reminded me of clockwork. There aren't many Howl's walls out there so when I saw the scan I knew I wanted to make one. Basically redrew the left-hand portion, then smudged it to try and capture the Ghibli watercolor style.

I like it although I havent seen the movie yet I love the smudge work, just fit the whole thing so well. You are so talented ms Tama not just your vectors but those walls, you make so many of them in such short amount of time. The wallpaper is very cartoonish and professional, can almost be an official Howl's moving castle wallpaper.
I admire your work very much
Cheers!

Fantastic! This may inspire some people to create some more wallpapers to add to the new category. The placement of the elements are done very well when I set it as my desktop background. It creates a real nice, dark, but relaxing atmosphere for my computer environment. It looks so simple with just a mountain and the moon, but thanks to the castle on the right, it looks like something's going on, wanting attention. :P
The smudge effects are nice too, I think you did well in capturing the watercoloring technique.
I must say...this is a very sexy piece of artwork you have there, Miss Tama. What a great way to start the Howl's Moving Castle gallery ^^ Once again, I must bow to your uber PS techniques. =P I really can't see what's wrong with this wall...meaning, I love it! The smudgeword is really impressive, nice way to end your vector trend =D +fav
Yeah! Actually I really wanted to do a Howl's moving castle wallpaper after seing the movie.
But I find Miyazaki's work hard to wall. Thanks for sharing this!
Really nice smugging Tama :) I can't say where is the scan part...
The color theme is so beautiful.
I'd like to see little silouhette running on the hill, could be a nice touch but I still really like your wall this way.
This is done nicely. Good job. The only thing one might ask for is a bit of smoke coming out to the stacks; to let us know it's not just sitting there empty.
I liked the movie, but the ending rather killed it for me..
Thank god, someone did a howls moving castle wall! I love this movie sooo much. One of my all time favs and some of Miyazaki's best work. Oh yeah you wall also kicks but! ^_~ +fav
TWO THUMBS UP!
Very clean work.
Great colour filtered.
What's really nice is that what's done to the wallpaper hasn't exclude the Ghibli style at all.
Great title since the castle really acts like a broken clock with the little "details" working days and nights.
AWESOME :D
