This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
I've seen quite alot of versions of this scan use as a wallpaper. But, I wanted to give a different flare. But, I give it a little flare. I vector asuka the whole day today. It took about like7 hours non stop. Use the tool pen but, I didn't like so decided to use the other tools on illustrator. It work wonders. Anyway, the background was hard to think of. I did kept the original. I added a texture that came from: http://www.desktopanime.com/ thanks. I guess that's about it. XD...
Hmm... really terrific job on vectoring the scan and adding your own style to it. I like the background elements a lot, as usual, but there needs to be more of it. I'm guessing you're trying to convey space but it just looks too empty. That line of birds on the bottom look really odd... too uniform of a line, and the smudged clouds look too much like dirty blotches =/ The feather behind the text also feels out of place. The lighting and texture is pretty good, I think you just need to work a little more on some of the details in this wall *^-^*
Wow, this is lovely. I'm putting this as my background right now. It's a bit empty to the top, but it's not that bad. I love the telephone line on the bottom, and the clouds. It's cool how you took the scan and made it into your own style; that's creative.
AMAAAAZING lighting on her clothes, you used my FAVORITE colors- I love grey tones! I love the smoothness, yet at the same time, rugged texture. so clean and so awesome... thanks so much for your masterpiece!!

Way to go Claud! >P
Let's go see a movie, oohohohoo.
the disjointed lines bug me a bit, in the vector that is.
very pretty colors, very asuka.
maybe i would have added more feathers, just cause one is kinda awkward (it is a very pretty feather tho)
Have a nice day!
If religion is that which binds men to one another, and irreligion that which sunders, then must I testify that I found the religion of my country in its musical genius and its irreligion in its churches and drawing rooms.
