After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Woot, and full view please! (2560x1600 recommended...)
On my calendar is already 2009, so it finally time for my new wall.
Actually is not that new, started in 25/11, and wanted to finish to
01/01, phailed...and is just now.

The used scan is my favorite from the non-Di Gi Charat ones. I waited
almost a year that somebody will make it, but on the end I needed
to wall it. Is 100% vectored, and I can say it was the longest and most
difficult vector what I ever made. I even started as a colored outline
vector, but noticed that parts of it are a way too dark for that. Girl
vectors one by one, height arround 2300 pixels for each. Worst thing the
hair as usual, mostly by Kotomi...eh,eh,eh..
Background with gradients and Lens Blur, as by my last wall. Used a bit
stronger blur and added a bit noise.
Also painted with soft-edge brush additional light and shadow on them.
Why the hell is a bit grainy? Never mind, it sharpens by downsize...
cause the canvas is 4000x2500!

Wall is dedicated to the whole AnimePaper, cause for me is really a place where wishes come true. Also take a example from the girls and be nice to each other,people!

Software: Adobe Photoshop CS2 (version 9.0.2)
Original resolution: 4000x2500
Original size: 52 MB (.psd)
Layers: 82 (without the smart object BG)

but Bernouli is right...that blue on the right looks like an out of place gradient to me!!

Very nice vector, I love your work on the eyes. What I also love is the way you blurred out the background so you get this camera-focus effect. The metal thingie on the top left casting a shadow is a bit too blurry though.
All in all a pretty much perfect vector *, as expected from you. Nice work and I'm looking forward to your next one.

Just a personal thing here, as said your vector is really good, but all within the limits of Photoshop. My main point of critique on Photoshop vectoring is that all lines are exactly 1 or 2 pix wide, everywhere. Although there aren't that many lines in your wall, it is noticable, which means the overall feel is a bit too... computer-made (can't find the right word, hope you understand). With hand-drawn lines, as they are in the scan, you have a way more dynamic look of your vector, making it more lively. With real vector programs like Illustrator you can trace those lines much better and although it's a lot more work, the result is -imo- better. So I hope you someday switch to Illustrator, because you got a good feel for vectoring, but I get the feeling PS is holding you back ;)
Don't take it too serious though, I mean, if you like Photoshop then stick to it, because Illustrator is quite tricky to get used to. Still, it might be worthy of giving it a try ;).

I think this wall is very cute I'm always a fan of Clanned walls but there really isn't much difference between the scan you used and what you did, I can see you made it bigger and took out the text but everything looks pretty normal. It could just be me but I think it needs more then just a great vector, to me a wall can't be good on just that alone it needs more detail. For a simplistic wall this is very good but maybe next time you could do more with the scan you choose. B+ :)..
