After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
Happy belated birthday, Kairi-chan! Wah, how late is this? Let's see...1 month and 26 days? Something like that. Could be worse? Heh heh~ And my first work of the new year!
So I was inspired by Kairi's Clannad X-mas wall to also redo a character's clothes. And I loved Zange in this scan but I'm not a fan of the swimsuit fanservice. So I decided to dress her up :D I created the clothes completely from scratch. Sketched it first then vectored it. It was all easy and fun except I was a little unsure about where the shadows would go, but I tried my best. And I'm obsessed with argyle socks so I had to throw them in. I also changed Zange's mouth because, I don't know, this is cuter and suits her better ^^ (If I were to rate the top 3 Kannagi girls, Zange would come in last. Not because I don't like her or anything. And I truly adore her character design. But Tsugumi is love.)
The vector was finished a while ago. And I had an idea for the background. Great. Now comes the part I always dread. Making the background a reality, ha ha. So after a month or so of trying to make trees, no luck. I tried every shortcut way i could think of to make nice painty trees. Finally last night I said screw it. I'm just going to doodle and see what happens. And whaddya know! Decent looking painted trees? I was like huh. I guess putting forth effort can actually work sometimes. So when I was done with the trees, I did a simple painted sky and wispy clouds, added a little snow...Googled "lamp post", found one, stuck in in the wall and painted over it. Painted some little leaves on the trees. Made some adjustments and it was done! 5 hours straight. Easier than I thought and I'm happy with it. What are the chances. Now it's 4 AM and I have work in the morning :P
In my mind the wall takes place in early December, in the daytime. But it could also pass as evening since the lights are on :P
In short, made the outfit and the background all from scratch, and hope to do more walls like this ^^ Kairi-chan I hope you love it and I know you'll continue to inspire me with your amazing and original works ^^

I wouldn't have known you did the clothes yourself if you hadn't said anything, you did a great job making them yourself. They look natural on her. I really like the background too.
