After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
Alright, well Soul Eater being one of my favorite series for the past year, I just had to go and make a wall for it. Since most Soul Eater walls/images I have seen are about 90% light hearted and cute, I decided to go the opposite and get a darker sense. I got my inspiration from OP2 and ran with it. I hope everyone enjoys it!
Now for the technical lingo.
This image was drawn with my wacom tablet in Illustrator CS4 using a screenshot as a ref. but not traced. After drawing I went back fixed most lines to make them smoother and what not taking the color from the screen shot. Same with the background, both being vectors. The rest of the colors/blood/rain was done in Photoshop CS4. Overall about a months worth of work from pre to post production. This was also my first image totally done 100% in CS4 programs ^^

I like the art, and you done a great job, and that scene I think I saw it in the opening of Soul Eater (not sure) I like the blood its well done, and the whole ground is good too.
Ooh, you're right; it's a nice change to see a darker Soul Eater wallpaper, especially since the current anime plot is tending towards that direction. I'm not sure if it's just my eyes or my computer, but I feel Maka and Soul are not really in focus, especially their faces, even though both their eyes are supposed to be closed. Though I like the pool of blood, I think it might work better if you contrast it more with the background, which itself is rather plain. I do like the overall anguish theme and your idea :D
Ack! I forgot to add that you might consider adding text, like SOUL EATER with ANGUISH below it in a dark-looking font, maybe even one that suggests a sticky dripping liquid. There's always been this sadistic element of Soul Eater, after all; why else would the moon be bleeding and the sun be grinning insanely? o_O

@Arcanefox, Thanks for the suggestions, I may go back and revise it at some point and add some text, but all the text I was trying was taking away from the image sadly, so I went with the clean look. As for maka/Soul being a bit blurry it wast intentional if its the image, but I guess you could say its the rain making it a bit blurry? lol it also depends on if your using the full res or a smaller one like 1440x900 since the image I submitted was 1680x1050, so if you would like for me to make the image your resolution size send me a message and ill happily make one for you!
Ahh this is from the 2nd soul eater opening right? Dark and bloody editing, but I love it ;). Very emotional scene. Nice job on the vector and background.
