As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Do have a look at this beautiful wallpaper!
Ok, so.. basically.. i love the skies in Macross Frontier and I thought it'd be neat if I tried to make one myself. So this is the result. After 7 or 8 hours of mouse-work...

Very original wallpaper! You said mouse-work?! Wow! I tought you used a digital tablet. You're very skillful ^_^ It reminds me a painting. Excellent work!
Absolutely beautiful.
This wallpaper depicts a dream-like scene, and the paper airplane makes me wish i could ride it off into the sunset. < 3
For mousework, this is brilliant. Lovely lighting and colors and certainly a favorite for me.
Nice work!!
I love the style you painted the clouds in. The color scheme is very warm and pleasant. It looks just like a sunset painting. Love the texture over it as well. It makes it look very painted and not too "clean."
As I said in MT...u went for a nice concept and BG is drawn nicely (very good with mouse)...but It's too blurry and my eyes cant focus on a single spot due to that eye hurting blure.
great smudge use but smudge just blure the wall more and more if you use it too much !

A paper-plane is flying in the sky... What a romantic. The plane with white color may be human's pure heart in the hope in the sky. The sunset is closing of one period or incomming disaster?
Aw I also love the sky and effects in Macross.
This is great for mouse work, but the clouds look too unnatural and smudged - they're too "fixed" and should be more soft and spreading imo.
If you could make the sun brighter, I think it would also enhance the landscape.
Great stuff anyways :3
just my two cents - hope you're not offended.
Nice color combination, so excellent
then how the paper airplane flies was good
it looks like a precious painting
the used of the brush tool was really good :)
i love it, good job n_n
