After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
Oh I definitely don't subscribe to any particular scene. It just happens to be the genre I listen to my most. One of all time favorite bands being Splashdown.
I pretty much am across all genres. I have so much music I can listen to music nonstop for an entire year without hearing a repeat. Though I seem to spend more time with indie music and local bands.
Well I was talking about music in relation to Gaga. I love symphonic metal. A couple of my favorites are Leaves' Eyes, Visions of Atlantis, Delain, Epica, and Xandria
i created a wallpaper out of the above screencap..
(sorry for the wallpaper size.. i haven't noticed that it's 1029 x 768)
i used adobe photoshop cs2..
i used the pen tool..
i know that my current wallpaper is not that good..
i have several questions..
1. how can i make the shadows better? they look like fakes.. especially on reborn's arms..
2. how can i make the outlines of the leaves better? they're only a single stroke..
3. what effect should i use for reborn's cheeks? how to do that?
4. what do you think should be the background?
5. how can i make the outlines smoother? i only traced the outline with the pen tool and fill it with black.. it's so hard to trace.. if i use stroke path, the outlines are only single strokes.. is there an effect or option in the photoshop?
thanks for the comments.. i'm already working on the outlines so that it will not be jagged.. but still.. i don't know how to work on the shadows..
For the stroke problem that you're having (with the single stroke)... I'm going off of Photoshop 7.0 so it might be a bit different...try your best to follow along ^_^
First...choose the Brush tool and choose the brush size and color that you want. Then do the normal pen tool stuff...
Pen tool (make your selection and stuff) >> right-click >> stroke path >> tool: Brush >> OK
Your selection should now have a stroke around it with the brush size and color that you chose! ^O^ You could also choose the "Simulate Pressure" option to achieve the thinner stroke on the ends with a thicker stroke in the middle ^_~ If this doesn't work...tell me T^T I'll try to figure out another way to help you~!
But this wall is very cute ^_~ I kind of like the simplicity with the limited number of colors used...but if you want...try working a bit with gradients and stuff. But don't rely on it to strictly make the shadows...rather...incorporate it into the "blocks of color" to give it more interest ^_^ I don't know if you actually understand what I'm talking about or not XD Sorry for not being able to be clearer T^T
Haha, this is pretty.
yeah, make sure of expand the size of the wallie, and the pot is lacking of a few shadows, I believe, asides from that, really cute, nice choice of wallpaper !!

renaissance outfit reborn XD
since it's a close up you should probably use more layer of vector so there's more shades to make it more interesting

Just a small comment to improve it : redraw the cheek, there are some jagged lines there.
I'm waiting for next version!
