After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
so after i made my vectored xxxholic wall i decided i wanted to challenge myself by making a painted wall. i found this scan here and got the idea to have her in a castle bedroom
i vectored some line art but all the shading on etna was done either with a hard brush or the air brush. the wall behind her is painted..i used a stock from xchange i found of a stone wall and used it to paint over the lines.. from there i put it in corel and used several brushes effects and colours to make the stones.
i used a hard brush to draw the shadows on the bed and pillows. the shadows on the bed i painted from the original then as i was painting them i extended them and put them where i thought they should go. the curtains and pillows were drawn from scratch and were fun to make and took some playing but i got it \o/ i used the airbrush to paint the highlights and such on them and the candelabra..
the candelabra was probably one the best items to paint i really had fun figuring out where the reflections and light should hit the different curves...learning how to paint with the airbrush while working on etna was the hardest...i had to redo it so many times >.< .. a few times i thought of just leaving it and maybe working on another wall for the competition but i really liked the idea for this wall and really wanted to see if finished!
overall i think this is probably my best wall yet and i'm really happy with what i've learned ^_^
i want to thank everyone i talk to on msn that has listened to me complain and whine about this wall and a big thank you to bernouli who was patient and answered my questions about how to get the right effects with the airbrush o/

I like the idea behind the design though it seems that she doesn't fit into her surroundings, as she looks too sharp in some areas but great work on the background and vector!
The background looks awesome and I really like the shades abound the bed. The vector looks awesome and the character looks very cute in that pose, great work Lil keep it up ^__^.
This is a great wallpaper the color and design fit perfectly the only problem is that is was posted a little late, would have been best around Valintine's Day. but still great.
I really love this idea!
but there are some minor misses
like the skin lines on the girl could use some work

Havnt seen any disgaea for a while, glad to see somebody walling it, and making a good wall too!
Love the overall dark mood to this wall, and a nice mix of red to add to the theme which looks really great especially when full-viewed. Only a few flaws are visible but they are only minor and i wont go into detail about them because i dont really need to as this wall looks great like this. =)
You are our devil, lildevil ;3 Nothing against it, the background looks very well done, and love darky bed scenery. Cool that you removed the little pics, it looks more serious now.

You really made Etna look cute yet at the same time just as alluring as ever.
It must have took you a very long time in doing this, but from seeing what you have done I would think that that time and effort has really paid off for you.

I love red, red is my color ;) The scenic backdrop is fantastic.
By the way, I'll be looking forward to the standard resolutions! I really hate the way that my desktop is standard not widescreen, ugh.
