After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
I know this is kind of...gray.
But I liked it that way.
So.
I'm not a big fan of Yun Kouga's works, but I love her drawing style:D
Anyways, I saw this image and it was like love at first sight
I had trouble coming up with the concept though.
But it turned out okayXD
This is the longest I have ever spent on a vector, it was a 100+ layers.
O.o
Your wall style kinda reminds me of `asa01's walls~ Very nice text fade to black technique.
I sorta wish the hair was a bit brighter because I feel the focus points are the nails and you vectored such gorgeous styled hair~
However, the wall on a whole is nicely done~ Good work! ^^
ps.
I think it'd be cool if you tried putting a 3rd color into the whole wall. Maybe make her tatoo and her hair thing a new color to bring out some focal points~ If you strengthen the color of her hair a bit, the whole piece would be a bit more bold! Maybe even make one of the important words of text that same color to have that theme stand out~ ^^
I like the dark style you have going on here. you did well on the vector, and the texture overlays were chosen well. i also like that the text is there, but clearly not the focal point.
but i do have to agree with dalarty that you need to clarify your focal point. as she said, right now it appears as though you wanted the nails to be the focal point, as they contrast with the rest. but also it looks like you want the hand on her thigh to stand out as well. which is great, but you need to give a little more depth to the texture around where her arm is. right now it looks like her arm just disappears there and her hand is separate. which just makes that hand look odd. so, add some subtle differences to the texture to show that the arm is under it.
it might be nice to give the nails a little more depth too. they are rounded, but the color is flat. i'd suggest limiting the pure white to highlight color on them, and adding light shades of gray around the edges. it will make the wall feel more complete, and whole.
It looks really good to be as well, I love the shades of gray you used. Somehow, I don't think this would have the same impact if it was colored, so I agree with your choice of making it black & white ^_^
The flower patterns are just awesome, and what can I say about the quality? It's top notch.
A favorite from me, keep up the good work! ^_^
Nice vector. It's really beautiful.
The blackish effect inthe backround is awesome.
Her Hand look soo real . Great work.
Thanks for sharing it.
Keep it up
Nice "spookey" composition : D
these simple walls are really simple but really soothing to the eyes and definitely desktop friendly.
dyou take requests? just a quick one I promise ^^
Seriously, I really like what you did with this wall - it's simple and classy and I think this kind of atmosphere and colors suit the scan the best. The kind of eerie and creepy air around the girl is also a nice addition. Monochrome walls are love! :)
This is going to look very good on my desktop. Thank you for sharing! :)
I love what you did with the scan. :D I honestly usually hate dark walls, but this is very nice. She blends so well with the bg. The vector is nice, clean and simple and it works perfectly imo.

Omg i love that scan, i cant believe i havent said it before.
i sorta, kinda second what dalarty said, although i think it wuold have just been better to have a toned gray.. i think that pure gray gets washed out so some very subtle tinting of the gray would have been nice, and in general i think brighter faces are essential to all walls, because thats where i feel the focus should be.
but anyways, i really love this, the concept and the vector are great.
haha i saw this yesterday never had the time to comment.
i love what you did here
it's monochrome but still interesting
and i've always thought that figuring out what text to put is a pain

Honestly, the black and grayscale is better than the original colour, I think. It makes it a little more sinister and emotional (dramatic, let's say).
The art IS amazing although the size of her eyes sort of gives me the creeps.
Great work!
