As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Do have a look at this beautiful wallpaper!
Okay hi mina . this is the 2nd version of the cloth wall, the character was extracted from a scan that i got here at AP. i just dig the scans where the characters are not in costume, i wanted something fun, and attractive and i think ive got something going for now. it just seems like there is something missing, so all crits and comments are welcome. the background was rendered in max. ive seen some badass cgi out there so i know my work doesnt match wat is out there, but its the best i can do for now. hope you like.
This really is an interesting wall.
Couple of things to say though:
First, Ichigo looks too dark and flat. Add more shadows and lights to him to make him look like he actually belongs there, and also work on the casted shadow.
Secondly, I'm confused about the dark thing surround the cloth and Ichigo. What is it?
Thirdly, either remove the text in the background, or make it smaller, change the font, and place it somewhere else.
Fourthly, find a higher quality starry sky picture. The current one is blurry and a little grainy.
Finally, the cloth reflection. Is the cloth on a lake or something? It's confusing, so unless there's a reason why it's reflected, remove it.
But really, this is an unique wall, and hope you'll keep it up.
Agreed on the blending for Ichigo. As for the bg, when I first saw it I got the impression that the wall was suppose to be abstract. So maybe have the black area surrounding the cloth reflect the starry sky too? Or you can take out the sky and work with lighting, to create a feeling that the wall happens in a different dimension. I really like the concept. Good luck! =D
Interesting concept.
Something doesn't sit right with me, I think it might be these 2 things:
The cloth looks floating. Is it supposed to be water underneath? Cloth on water??
You can try tightly crop this so that the cloth fully covers the entire wall. That way the character looks bigger and more interesting as a centre point and you don't have to worry about backgrounds. Or annoying people like me who tries to apply physics into walling.
The starry sky is too dark for the cloth to be that brightly lit. Try a day scene maybe? With trees and happy bright sunny day, something like that. The problem is then the background needs to match the cloth idea. Why is the cloth there, etc etc.
Your idea's interesting!
But in my opinion you don't need to put ichigo there... too small.
Focus more on the cloth.
Well that's only my opinion, feel free to against it^^
Very interesting work - it is made in an original
The character sits on images of others персонадей on a fabric - in general words are not present) I very much like idea! The background чудесет, also is interesting and original))) I consider that this work is simply remarkable!

It's a very trippy wallpaper haha. But I like it. Though Ichigo looks a little out of place. Everyone seems to look like a piece of cloth but him. That's it though.
