This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
I posted this wall a long time ago at AP Wallpaper Design Forum. time to post it in the gallery. :D

i tried to make a fantasy-theme wall.
i used three scans from PZ.
the bg's made from scratch ( except four little dragons ).
made using photoshop 7.
thanks to KorganoS ( korgie, are you dead ? x_x ) who gave me a lot of inputs on the wall.
I love this wall. Mainly cause it is a fantasy one, don't get many of those. The images are extracted so well and it has such depth and love the bg. The only things is I know the dragons and castle in the bg are dimmed cause they're in the distance but it would of been nice to have some of the dragons closer up and detailed and also the fog or the clouds, not sure ^^ but the part in front of the girl it doesn't seem as transparent as a fog/cloud would be?? Well sometine I don't even know what I mean, but overall i think this is fantastic and beautifu. Beautiful job!

This is an interesting wallpaper which could have been excellent with a few more tricks. :) I think the characters could be a little more desaturated to match the general brownish tone of the background. You could turn down to 70-80% the opacity of the most further character too to show he's not on the same plan. And a last critic, I think the bottom of the clouds are too white. Bring back a little details and it would be really awesome!
Really awesome! It's nice to see somebody pursuing a theme as different as a fantasy theme. Good work on drawing the background yourself, working from scratch is rather difficult, especially when trying to create something dramatic and majestic as a castle surrounded by clouds and other flying entities. The looks like it turned out nice for you, and the picture captures a moment of being high in the sky flying. Again, good work!
Agh...excellent job, but it's just missing one thing to make it a perfect piece of work: clarity. XD If the bg stood out a bit more, I'm sure this would be like 'wow...' Not saying that this wall is bad, it's great! I just feel kind of disappointed seeing that you haven't made the bg stand out a bit more T-T Anyway, supber job ^^ I look forward for more walls by you =D
Did you draw the castle yourself? It sure looks nice!
The color of the background did give me the feeling of the land of the dragons.
But seems like the colors of the characters in the foreground are a little too bright to fit in with the background. The lines are also a little too defined to match the background.
But I like this wall neverthe less! Do make more fantasy themed walls! =)
Excellent job! Congratulations! I love this wallpaper. The whole concept is just wonderfull and every single element is the scene happens to be in harmony with the others, not many wallpapers do achieve this. So, I want to congratulate the author on this wallpaper. Couldn't be better!! :)
