As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Do have a look at this beautiful wallpaper!

I didn't vector the birds cos I thought it was crowded with them there so i just kept them out
I made the shadings a bit more detailed, and i guess that's all

It's a good vector but honestly I don't see the point in it...the original scan is so much better and contains more detail. If you want to put your skills to use then create something original with it, don't just change up something here and there and call it a wallpaper. I myself would rather use the scan as a wallpaper than your vector, and if I needed to resize it, or clean it up, I'd do that for my own personal use (not only b/c this place doesn't allow submissions like that) but because it's not an original idea for a wallpaper, just like yours isn't.

I like the design on the curtain, it's really subtle but it gives it a lot more detail. I also really like that style of coloring for the curtain, but that style of coloring looks too soft in the clothing areas---especially as it seems in sharp contrast to the heavy black line art of xxxHOLiC.
I think your artistic choices for things like the curtain, leaving out the bird, etc... are nice changes from the original~ I'm glad you kept true to the colors and just accented the entire piece. The vector work is nice though I wish there was a bit more contrast on the shading >.< Overall good work though! ^.^
This looks very nice - especially since you left out the birds and added different, more soft-looking design on the curtain; it definitely looks better than in the scan. Nice vector, too, although the shading on the white part of her dress could look more...sharper? It kind of looks too soft for the rest of the dress.
