This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Whopping huge planet.. that was the bulk of the work in this wall, after I read some tutorials about planet-building on DeviantArt and wanted to try it myself. The original scan was very greyish-yellow so I recoloured it to be more vivid, and drew in more of the gravestone things. I was aiming for a deep looming, introspective feel with this one.
This is a great wall, the background is the one that caught my attention. It would look just as great with or without a character in it. how on earth did you make that earth ?

Hey, i have this picture on a winamp skin and had no idea what series it came from. anyway, nice wall! i like the background with the moons appearing during sunset.
This is an excellent job of blending an image with a background without making it seem out of place, also the effects are subtle and it doesn't have a trashy bg look.
