After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

The wing might look a complete mess but trust me that it was a very calculated, time and layer consuming mess (so many layers that i even lost count) i painted them an put some textures (from deviantart but don't remember whose)
I wanted the skin lines not to look like they were vectored so i used a layer mask and painted them

And it was indeed something fast.. That is until people mentioned these weird "purple" things that i didn't see (made me think my eyesight must have been getting worse) but fortunately that wasn't the case xD My stupid computer's brightness is too high so everything looked white to me but it wasn't >.< And when i went to my laptop i got shocked and had to fix the huge amount of purplish things *sigh*
But that's not a bad thing.. in fact, it made my chuckle to myself~
So even if I'm definitely not a fan of pink, I can't help but say this wallpaper is pretty. Am loving the soft glow-y light that you gave to the character, and I say that you made a good decision by lightening her facial skin tone (by doing so you adjusted the natural focal point of the piece off-center). However I'm particularly irked by the area of the character's back.. seems too flat to me and I think it would have been better if you shrouded that portion with light.. the character would've blended in better, but yeah you might've sacrificed the depth angle that you're going for...
Anyways, calculated it is, and a nice display of skill too. Keep it up! ^^
Yeah, I like yours better than the scan because there are richer colors and more contrast in the bg. ^_^
I only think you could have used some more foreground glowing stuff, like near her shoulder (like in the scan), so give a sense of depth.
Anyway, good work on doing the wings, just that because of the colour similarities to the background, I almost thought that there were no wings there at all (or maybe those wings are the transparent kind)
Anyhoo, overall composition is nice, gives this wallpaper a very soft and calming feeling, hence the well chosen colours and the nice image you decided to use.
I agree with Ciello and her comment on blending the character in more, by softening up her back (and oo-lala, she sure does have nice curves 8D) but *ahem* that's about all the flaws I can see.
I like it. Yeah it's waaay too bright&pink for my desk, but I appreciate al the work you did, and like I said, the painting it's awesome you did a great job.
Dochan!! Great painting, and I really like the lines! This makes a really pretty wallpaper~ Though I think the wing would be more "wow" if it didn't share the same colors as the background. I also think that the shape of the wing is a bit boring for the amount of space it's taking up, but I don't know what other shape it can be X) Anyway, great job!

This is too lovely~ I adore it! It's so light and heavenly. I think the colors are great--so soft, yet bright, colorful...but not TOO colorful. The vector is amazing, and I also like what you did with the bg. ^_^ I'm totally faving this~
