This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Uh.. I tried to make it very simple and stylish, since that's how the show was like to me. Used the 3 characters in Spike's past and assosciated them with colours that suit them best. Inspired by the opening video from Cowboy Bebop.
It's a nice minimalist idea. I'd highly recommend you clean up the scans a bit, though - the one of spike has a lot of jpeg artifacts - as it kinda undermines it a little.
The wallpaper's concept is quite genius imo, I like how the images behind the characters have the same colour tone, which adds a good effect on the black background. Overall, it was well done.
Wow I like the concept of this wall. The borders used for each character are very unique and the colors used are very representative of each individual character. The colors on Spike makes him look duller than the other 2 characters. Probably you can add more shadows to his face and some shine to his hair, since the face and hair of the other 2 characters have a lot of shadow tones and shine. It'll be better to standardize the colors and tones of all the characters in the wallpaper, especially with such concepts where each character is being framed up in a box.
Maybe you can also add the title or a descriptive phrase at the bottom of the wallpaper to fill up more of the black areas. I like this wall though! =)
I really like the concept. If possible please change the image of Spike though. It looks really pixely and conflicts a lot with the other two since they're so solemn and he's all smug. You should use a more serious image of him. Otherwise good job.
Great picture. Im impressed with the theme of the wallpaper b/c i havent seen any with these three important characters. hope to seen more of julie, good work.
Ooh, simple and minimalistic, I like that. ^^ I'll throw in the negative feedback first: Why did you choose a very flatly coloured image for Spike? Looking at the two others, they seem a lot more shiiinier and... well, you see. Although I must say that every character's picture fits their personalities perfectly. ^^ I'll most likely use this sometime, this is very nice. ^^
