After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
Yeah, the boomerang is more straightforward to do since the shade are more "flat". The hair will be long to do but hard I think. The face will be hard. I still have to adjust gradients on outlines.
144hours without break, food and sleep. I don't think can hold this pace X) The remaining parts are the face, hair and boomerang. It should be ok...hopefully ^^'
This is the first wallpaper that i have actually finished.
Not much to day really. The scan i used came from my own little High-Res folder i have gathered over the years so no name on the scanner which is probably just as good since the scan itself was horrible with lots of artifacts, funny drawn hair i had to fix and lots of other stuff. Other than the hair the vector is pretty much straight from the scan, except that i removed the blood. Who want's bloody girls anyways :P. Since i had some trouble with the background i just made one that look like the original from the scan and it fits with the vector pretty good as well.
The total time for the vector I'm not so sure of since i made it over a couple months time when i felt like it. The background took 30 minutes though >_<
Hope you like it.
Very nice vector you have here;
nice choice; you gave the piece a nice perspective by choosing this piece. Your sky is also very well-done; you can never go wrong with simple, nature-inspired backgrounds! Though your background already speaks for itself, may I suggest a little lens flare to the upper-left of the wallpaper? It'd give the piece more depth for sure, and it'd make your lighting source logical. Anyhow, it's already a solid piece -- congratulations of your first wallpaper!
This looks great! I love how Shana is looks and the way the bandages make an "S" by the font fits in pretty cool. Although it's kinda weird to have the sky clear blue at the top and sunset like orange at the bottom; it fits in pretty good :P.
A very fine first submission
the vector is great and fits into the bg wonderfully
however...
her left thumb looks quite deformed
the nose might be slightly out of place
the blade looks like its bent to a slight spiral
her ahoge (the lonely antenna hair strand) is slightly jagged
and
SHE HAS NO FRIGGIN EYEBROWS
Meh probably just made that way ----------------^ (reply to bluesnow)
Background is very nicely made, and the character is nicely vectored and inserted
I do agree though with what maddeath said, some aspects in the character would look better if it was changed.
But since it would be from the scan it can't really be helped (in my opinion) but with a little bit of photoshop work, it would look perfect
Keep up the good work!
I don't like Shana, but here...
she looks awesome! I really like it! Rarely I like the wall, where is the character who I don't like :3
The title is nice and suitable :)
Good job!
Although career assessment and counseling have
historically targeted students in high school and
college, a number of authors address the importance
of helping elementary and middle school students
develop a foundation for later career development
tasks (Herring, 1998).
METHODS OF CAREER ASSESSMENT
Herring (1998) notes that career guidance programs
in schools often include processes such as
classroom instruction, counseling, paper-and-pencil
career assessment, career information, placement,
consultation, and referral. Counselors promoting the
career development of school-aged children should
be trained to administer and interpret career assessment
instruments and should have training in career
development theory and assessment. Further, they
should be aware of the potential cultural, gender, and
socioeconomic influences that can impact a student’s
assessment performance.
As an alternative to standardized paper-andpencil
instruments, career assessment is increasingly
offered on the computer and the Internet in the form
of comprehensive computer-assisted career guidance
programs that provide students with formal career
assessment, educational and occupational information,
job search strategies, and educational planning
opportunities. Two popular software or Internet
programs are ACT’s DISCOVER and Educational
Testing Service’s (ETS) SIGI PLUS. Finally, many
counselors use less formal practices such as behavioral
observations, academic and work histories,
classroom performance, or in-session exercises to
collect information similar in nature to that elicited
by standardized assessment.
