After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
Ive been painting a scan for a wallpaper on and off for about a week now. Hopefully when the kids go back to school tomorrow and hubby is in work ill be able to finish finally.
@~Corvus Re-evaluate your feelings after some space. I have watched numerous relationships fail due to rushing and the wounded bird concept. @~Mystic Not bad, just been busy recently that is all. And trying to find motivation to return to one of my projects
Idk...ive been trying to push him away...i want him to be happy but hes always there for me. We havent done anything. Holding hands isnt going to do anything but...idk its complicated.
A few months have passed, since I've started this, I know it's still not perfect, but I've reached the limits of my skills, and I really wanted to submit a Patchy wall. I've received a lot of comments during the working process, so thanks for everyone who have helped me. (Unfortunately I couldn't fix everything, I've tried to use a marbe texture on the floor, but I've realized, that I can't handle the textures...)
As for my resources, I've vectored the most beautiful Patchy scan, and re-painted some parts of this screenshot from the anime. I had a hard time with the vector, the outlines in some parts of her hair were almost invisible, and as you can see I had to draw the missing parts of her hair. The vector has more than 60 layers, and the process lasted for two weeks. (But that's just because I'm a lazy lazy waller.)
The library BG was an easy choice, Patchy is a (super cute) librarian witch who lives in a library. As mentiond earlier, I've painted some parts of a screenshot, but other than that I made everything from scratch. I designed and created the books on the shelves, (I tried to chose titles that suits Patchy, like "Traps against Marisa" for obvious reasons or "How to deal with Vampires", after all she has a vampire friend.) The crystal circle around Patchy, is one of her strongest magic technic the "Philosopher's Stone". It's kinda like a trademark to her. By the way, Patchy likes to create new magic spells, so I tried to make a scene when she try to create something new with her Philosopher's Stone.
Patchy is my greatest favorite from Touhou, but there is only one wall with her in the gallery, I thought Patchy deserves much more wall, so I created this. I plan to create two or three more Patchy wall, but there are a lot of great Patchy scans in the gallery. They're all waiting to be walled, PLEASE, HELP THEM!
Patchy likes you all, together with her, we shall greatly appreciate every comment and fav.
I love this wallpaper. There's much feeling to it and a lot of hard work - especially in terms of detail. The detail level is really amazing and some things are really funny (like the book-names (e.g. "Traps against Marisa" :D)). However I just somehow feel that this wall might have used some more reflections for the crystals.
I've seen a very very similar wallpaper to this one - but I think I like this one a bit more since it has more details (at least I think so).
One way or another: great details, great colors, great atmosphere -> +fav :)
dS.
Personally, I think it's a pretty good wallpaper and don't have a lot to complain about. I like how you vectored the girl and the overall high quality, but I can't help but want a bit more variation on the book titles (especially the ones near the blue crystal), but the rest of the wallpaper makes up for it ^_^ The colors are bright and vibrant, so no complaints on this one.
Great job! Favorite and desktop.
It's sure windy in the library XD Anyway, good job on such a detailed vectored! It's just a bit sharp/jagged in some areas at the largest resolution. And there is a problem with the way Patchy is colored. She is in a fairly warm colored room and it looks like the sun might be low (or there's candlelight), but she is colored entirely with purple tones, so it looks like the warm light is not hitting her at all. Instead, she looks like she should be in some kind of darkish or misty place. I think she would look more like she's actually sitting in the library if the shadows on her were warm, especially her skin!
I remember monitoring this throughout its revisions in SZ and i must say you improved a hell of a lot since your first revision!
Still not 100%, but nobody is perfect and i think you did a great job on this!
Glad to see it finalized :) There's a lot of shiny in this wally so I love it! I couldn't believe you repainted all those books in the foreground GJ! Patchy looks crisp too. Not perfect? Well that's putting some humanity into the picture ;)
You couldn't fix everything. You'll do better next time, but this time you did one hell of a nice job. Well done and congrats on getting this one entered into the gallery. I like this wall.
Another superb wallpaper from you!
Really nice work, i like it! Especially you made it very impressive the Patchouli scan.
Anyway, you're pro, and thanks again the wall!
Very nice wall!
The vector is gorgeous!
The background and the character flows together pretty well.
It's so shiny O:
Even though you didn't fix everything, you can still improve and the wall still came out good.
touhou-tard amazing reconstruction
and amazing details too *-*
over all i think more lines would help
like on the book shelf and the hair
but i gotta say overall this is awesome
