Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
I began this wallpaper without any idea what I was going to really do. I loved the image of Kagura (from MT), and I knew that I wanted to do something without a landscape in the background It came out quite darker than my past walls, but I think it fits the mood well.
The first thing I did was extract Kagura. To do this, I followed the tutorial at Imanimetions.net, which worked really well I think compared with my previous extraction attempts using the lasso tool.
Then I found a stock image of a Polaroid at Stock Exchange (www.sxc.hu), which I manipulated a LOT using blurs, lighting effects and blending options, as well as utilizing Photoshop's warping tool (fun!)
The rain droplets were made using a great tutorial from Photoshop Support.com (http://www.photoshopsupport.com/tutorials/cb/water-drops.html). I kept the majority of the droplets to one side to allow room for desktop icons.
Lastly, I applied a texture from DA! (www.desktopanime.com).
First of all, great concept and I really like this wall. However, maybe if you added some wood-grain texture behind the photo it would look more like it's laying on a table.I'm not sure what the rain drops are there for; are they tears? It really is a nice wall, sorry for all my nitpicking.
Yeah overall it's nice, love the images of kagura from speedgrapher. I think the raindrops are kind of random, we dont' know if they're tears or from the rain, but that's maybe nitpicking as well lol. It's a very nice wall, great job!
I must say...this is one of the best photograph walls I've seen. The texture is well chosen, and so are the colours =D The lighting is perfectly adjusted, that is probably what makes the wall so 1337 =X The raindrops are simply amazing, but I believe you're still missing a tad bit...shadows? O.o Anyway, excellent work ;) +Fav

I love it. i also love speed grapher. and my interpretation would be that they are tears... since Saiga got his "power" he can't take normal pictures anymore... and he really wants to take pictures again, especially of Kagura. this wallpaper would be great for those who really enjoy the show. it fits perfectly i think.
I always wanted to watch Speed Grapher, but can't =(
anyways, i like the wall very much =D, there are however i few improvements(i believe) that could be implied to this wall to make it better -D
1) More texture in the background, as it makes much more realistic and imo, not as bland =P
2)shading in the water drops?i'm not sure, but they look all identical except for the shape...and that's not good...right? =P
3)
wait...actually that's all, i really like this wall, thank you for making it >_< WAAAAAAH!!~

Ok i have to admit i've never heard of this anime...wait maybe i have i just don't remember, none the less i think this wall is good cause it really does seem like a portray. ^ ^ !
Nice, I love the concept! Really fitting for the series.
Nice texture use, and the colors make the whole wall feel like it's sitting in a dark and dingy room. I also really like this image of Kagura, and the fact that there's dust and what appear to be fingerprints on the bottom of the picture.
Nice work! A fav.
