This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Another older wallpaper that I did for my friend's birthday cause she loves Akira.. ^^; Anyways I made everything in the wallpaper and it took me about 2 weeks or so to finish ^^ Enjoy! XP
This is very simple and yet so pieceful. In my opinion though, i think it would be better if you could put a texture on the table, it flowes with the composition and it looks more realistic.
Wow, really pretty! I love your color scheme, it's very water colory. Was this a scan or did you do the water color effect in Photoshop? I'd like to know how you acheived the effect.

That's just too lovely. I really like the contrast between the more watercolor parts, like the chara and the sky, and the more textured parts, like the wall. You've just got a perfect feel here. all the elements are in harmony with each other, everything has been executed really well. The atmosphere of it is great, too.
Such a good wall this one. Akira is my fav charcter in SDK too. Colour scheme is really nice too. I like the way you balance the pink of the sakura, his fan and the crushed ice throughout the image. Really cool how the background was all made from scratch too. Just a great wall ^^ +fav
Eye-catching wall! This is a series that on first sight I'd probably have passed, despite the fact that it looks as impressive as it does
-- however, everyone I've heard that's seen this has had nothing but great things to say about it so I'm going to give it an honest shot in the near future.
A wall as good as this one just reminded me to make it that much more a priority as far as anime watching goes.
I like the scan but I dont think that the wall backround goes well with the scan for this wallpaper. I think that the wall should have a similar type of feel that the scan has. Sorry for the unclear explaination but I just dont know how to explain it. Keep up the good work.
This is my most favorite wall ever! (for the time being heh heh.) anyways, the bg looks awesome and i liked the little font that says "A blind man's tale." oh and by the way, where'd you find that akira image? it's so awesome!
This is a really relaxing wall.
It seems just by looking at it, I can feel the cool air the smell of spring...
The blooming cherry trees fits the picture so much.
I wanna be there, too!!
