After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
Oh I definitely don't subscribe to any particular scene. It just happens to be the genre I listen to my most. One of all time favorite bands being Splashdown.
I pretty much am across all genres. I have so much music I can listen to music nonstop for an entire year without hearing a repeat. Though I seem to spend more time with indie music and local bands.
Well I was talking about music in relation to Gaga. I love symphonic metal. A couple of my favorites are Leaves' Eyes, Visions of Atlantis, Delain, Epica, and Xandria
this wallpaper for `CrimsonCyanide he told me to make it as a wallpaper, so i worked with it and i vectored it..and gomen for taking so long i was busy D: as for the background i didn't make like the original scan because it was so blur.. i took this Original scan from the anime (NHK) and i cut the background and paint over it as a room.|| Well, hope you folks like it!
Good vector work like always.
I like the background. Makes me want to go to sleep ^^ *damn I\'m so sleepy*
Great choice of colors in this wallpaper. The bed is also really good done but I\'m feeling not very well about the window. Overall a good wallpaper. Fav+
Hmm this is very different from your other walls. It is a very hard and basic vector. To be honest it didn't look like yours until I saw your name because the style is so different. D8 Keep your normal style with the blurs and colors! T___T
But this wall could use some ambient lighting and more shading to perk it up.
AH gorgeous wall, I already said on MT that it is awesome! You made great job with vectoring and painting, your vectors have your personal style, keep it up!! ^^
I'm not a HUGE fan of generic vector walls, but i do know alot of good examples of them so i'll give this the best critique that i can even though i have limited experience i guess
firstly, the colors really make generic vector walls, they should be bright and the shadows need to be chosen right. i think her hair's base color is too dark, and the skin's base color is too saturated. that combined with the shadows being too yellow causes the skin to look.. well not as good as it could :D. remember to change the hues of your shadows to give your cellshading depth since you really only have two colors to work with while trying to "trick" the viewer's eyes into understanding the mood
lineart is decent, though for her hand being so close to the foreground i really think they should be cleaner , same with the hair--remember with close ups you have the advantage of not having to slave over the bg, but you do have to concentrate on the details of the foreground more.
blush is not correctly placed, it should be closer to the outer, bottom corner of her eyes and darker at the top. more gradiented and faded at the bottom. ideally you would use two or three colors to give good depth
lol, long post--and i do realize this was just a shotgun wall, but a few more minutes spent on choosing the right colors i think would have made this wall alot better >D
I like it. It's a nice vector. The only thing I noticed is that some parts look sharp and some parts look a bit out of focus almost. Not a major issue, but it could have been a little more consistent.
The most important key in making a simple wall is to make it look like it wasn't simple and quick. This looks really quick, like you didn't even try to fix anything, I see many broken lines and in some places the hair looks cut and didn't quite make it to the arm. Also I see the outline going over into the skin, and in fact the outline is very messy and pointy in some places. I think the colors are too dark for her, something much lighter would've done better. Pink and yellow maybe, her room is too dark as well. I see one color leak, on her foot.
As for the bg, too smudged. You over smudged it, you can see on some places it's blurred and smudged where it shouldn't be. The bed's outline in back is blurred and that wasn't needed as well, also the sky looks weird...just some normal brush clouds could've been better.
You didn't line her hair which I see messed you up badly since it doesn't flow like hair should, rather it looks boxy and pointy.
So altogether, the color needs to be changed to a lighter tone, the sky could use some changed, use a nice cloud brush or just make them yourself. Alot of adjusting needs to be made for her, and yes as Vitaa mentioned her blush is too close to her nose, move them more to the outline.
Hmmm this is a pretty good wallpaper and im a huge fan of to love ru great job on this wallpaper and still makeing awesome wallpapers like this + fav :)
I must say, I'm glad you vectored that scan because it is absolutely adorable. You certainly have improved significantly with your vector work from what I've noticed and I have to say it really shows with this latest entry. Of course, I'm rather impressed with anyone that can vector, because I can't.
As for the background, I really like what you've done with it. Yes, it is simple and there isn't much to it, but sometimes we can revel in the simplicity. It was, in my opinion, the best choice for the scan you chose to vector. I also like how this background is different than your previous works, which shows that you are working hard to push forward and try new things and that is a wonderful thing for an artist. The only thing that really stands out is the contrast of the sheets to the curtains and window. It's not by much, nor do I personally see it is a flaw, but it is something that is slightly noticeable.
What I do really like about this wall, however, is how nicely it all blends together. I have to agree with angel-voice in that it almost induces a sleep-ish feel onto it's viewer. That, in itself, should give you a good idea of how far you've come as a waller. It's peaceful and serene and so very relaxing. Heck, I think I might just go take a nap after commenting. Great job, Sashinka!
Your vectoring style starts to be similar of mine. Change of style due my greatness on CC?
Lol j/k. Anyways Kotegawa looks pretty good on this one and goes for the whole composition.
Great gift for our Cy.

I've been waiting for someone to do a wallpaper based on this Yui scan for a while. Great work. :)

Nice wall, I just think it needs more time in PS.
