Description:
I've made a bunch of ghibli wallpapers in the past, and with the new ponyo movie out, I found it fitting to make a ponyo wallpaper. This one is simple, and I tried to keep it that way with the smooth edges (not many black lines) and soft colors. I vectored the original image and completely drew the water by hand (another one of the my "learned how to do something as I go along" techniques) and I think I did a pretty good job for my first little puddle of water. It's not the most realistic water, but I didn't really want it to be, I just wanted it smooth.
Also in the original image, the head is underwater, and in this vector I wanted to make it look like ponyo's head is peaking just a little bit :)

OH AND ALSO I actually haven't seen ponyo yet <_<, maybe if this wallpaper is popular enough I'll have to go see it lol

This wall looks a lot darker on my mac than the pc at work.. so weird.
ONE SUGGESTION! Get rid of the black outline on the text and smooth the white edges. :)

Simplicity suits Ponyo well, so this is a lovely relaxing wall. Fantastic scanfix and the added water is great. I'm not so happy about the logo, it'd prolly be better if you had smoothened and straightened the edges, like the water. Looks a bit low-quality now compared to the rest.
And go watch the movie, you bananapeel, it's a must-see!

It is a nice wallpaper though. If the details weren't there, this wallpaper would've been definitely ignored. but i can actually see this wallpaper on a lot of computer screens. The wallpaper isn't busy. Empty wallpapers means more icon space. =)...
