After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Finally got around to tidying up this wall. From one of my favourite mangaka, Midorikawa Yuki (best known for Natsume Yuujinchou)
The characters are Gin and Hotaru from her oneshot 'Into the Forest of Fireflies Light" Based it on this scan
I HIGHLY recommend reading this sad but sweet little story, especially if you enjoyed Natsume.
Entirely painted and vectored in Photoshop CS3 with a tablet. I completely lost track of how many layers there were but there were a LOT. O_O
One of my fav walls from one of my fav stories, over the top fireflies and all. Hope you'll like it, too. ^_^
I like the water esp around the stone, looks pretty real, the glowing little tinghies and the moon, good job with those =D The girls expression is slightly weird but it's like that in the scan too I see.
Its a great wallpaper but the problems is for me thatyou have a amazing vector background but non Vectored Scan wich looks weird in quallity.

Ahh.. nice :). I like how you turned a manga-page into an anime-ish wallpaper. I love the concept and the awesome background. I think the reflection of the foot of that guy could have been a little more (it's strange how it holds on at one place and continues a bit further to the bottom).
The effects seem too round and soft for the manga-feeling of the characters - but the background certainly makes up for any flaws there might be in this wall :).

I think that the glowing coming from the moon is way too strong though. It looks unnatural to me, almost like its coming from an artificial source like a boat. I’d tone it down a bit. Besides that, good work.

Similar notes to what others said: the scan is grainy compared to the beautiful vector, but I guess it can't be helped...
At first glance, it seems confusing because everything blends in (grass is black and shadows are black, so its hard to see where one begins and the other ends). That's why I was confused about why the fireflies weren't reflected in the water, and I had to stare at it to realize that maybe the grass was covering it...?
Same with the tree; if the moon is shining, you would think it would have some tint of green on it, instead of remaining completely black.
But I guess it was all about the aesthetics; everything else was black, so you might as well be consistent, right? So other than this confusing bit, I really liked the wall. It made me think of Gin and I wanted to cry again.
I was wondering when you would make a new wall! I've read this oneshot 8D I really like the idea and the colors of the wallpaper. However, I think the sketchy style of the manga doesn't match the lovely cleanness of the background. There also seems to be a paper texture on the couple and the rocks, which makes the difference in styles more apparent. Nonetheless, it's a nice wallpaper, and especially so if you know the story behind the characters!
