Kyahaha. The wallpaper that made my hand die~! And I though the Wolf's Rain one I made was bad enough.
So first I vectored and edited black and white manga scan, then I decided I didn't want it so shiny so I painted over bits of it, blurred, and smudged the heck out of Kenshin. When that was all done, I was so sick of staring at it, I abandoned my earlier concept of creating an overhanging brach of sakura and blossoms and just stuck a sky, birds, and some text behind him. I added the breezy hazy/misty effect and textures at the top to add to the UN-shininess of it. I just felt I had to make to picture very rough.
I used textures from Resurgere@devART. This whole thing is about 70 layers in all.
The scene was actually taken from the Kyoto arc, hence the title.
(I actually made this while I was home, suffering from a cold. If there are problems, I blame it!)
By the way, this is the first time I ever completely re-drew/vectored a character - as opposed to just adding bits of missing clothes and elbows to fix scans, so any comments are welcome! Also, part of Kenshin's sword was in the original scan but I took it out as I was uncertain exactly what material his hilt was made out of O_O. (What an odd reason, huh?)
