After a long time of just watching and downloading some wallpapers from AP I finally decided to post my own piece of work. This is my first serious wall.

I used these three scans in my work:

The idea was to make a grim and calm wallpaper with Rei ::O. In order to do that I went for a "after battle" sort of scene. I ended up with Rei standing in calm water with the Spear of Longinus and a howling EVA 01 behind her.

It took me almost three days to learn new techniques and make the wallpaper itself. The hardest part and a completly new thing for me was cleaning and colouring the Rei sketch scan. I re-did that many times. Then came the spear, Eva, fog and moon ;;]. I really wanted to add water ripples or some splashes around Rei and the spear but I don't have the "mad skillz" yet to make them ::[.

EDIT02: Ok I've made some improvements - changed the fog, moon, eva's eye and Rei doesn't stand out from the background that much now ;;]
