As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Here's something I finished in August,but I never uploaded :)
This was the second time I tried to paint something,and I think I finally got rid of the quality problems it had before...it's not perfect,but it at least looks better now...
I tried to make it look like it's water color or something,and I hope it looks good^^
Thanks `Sashinka for doing his hair for me...it may be lighter than Hiji's usual hair,but it's really wonderful,isn't it?:)
I did plan to put a castle in the bg somewhere,but I got lazy,and decided to keep it simple as the original scan was :)
I hope this looks ok,I really don't know how to paint properly yet,so bare with it for now,I'll get better next time^^

Heh, the first thing I was gonna say it not august! Haha! But then I read your comment. You and sashinka make a good team! I love the slightly blurry textured effect, that's really neat! Great image choice, subtle background is nice with those red highlights. Wish it were a little higher in resolution so I could use it, no big deal though. I love the eyes in this too, not sure if you did anything with them but if you did massive kudos!

Love the redness and the paint-ish feel of this. Though, it seems to me that he's not actually really leaning on anything...maybe if you moved him a bit to the right, it would look like he's leaning on the edge of the wall? ^^;

Other than that, nice job on coloring and hair! :)

If the red werent so orange this would make a really cool wall--although right now it has a bit of an oldies feel to it (like old school detective conan). would have loved to see more smoke and a bit more sharpness/detail in his hair, but overall i think this is a nice piece.

Yaay Stormie-chan's new wall! Totally cool, presenting another bishie! Although partly I agree with vitaa about the orange, for me it's a bit too much (well, maybe it's because I'm not really fond of that color, or at least not paired with black).
