OK. I don't know what made me do this but I felt like I just had to. (XD) emoticon

Hahahaha. Anyway, I had this sudden urge to do a wall--it doesn't matter what as long as I finish it tonight. t(>_<t) emoticon

I really didn't expect it to finish tonight but--here it is. VOILA. The finished product. |(n_n)| emoticon

I went for the simple primary colors. I also made the BG cartoon-ish to match it with Mario. Oh BTW, BG's from scratch. The scan's from AnimePaper of course. ^^ Enough discussion--I hope ya guys like it. 8D

P.S. I was inspired by the song of Eraserheads entitled "Trip to Jerusalem". If you guys don't know it, I suggest you listen to it. The song has a really beautiful meaning. ^^ Peace out. XD

I like it. you did a very good job of capturing Mario, and the background is awesome. i can't believe you made it from scratch. However I'm not a big mario fan so I'll add it to my wishlist. I can't wait to see more. First to comment

The shading on the clouds looks kind of weird since you were going for simple~ but other than that its cute ^.^

I'm not going to lie to you. This wallpaper might stay on my desktop for a very long time. You've done a really good job of capturing the colorfulness and joy of the Super Mario games, while still having room to add your own flair to the project. Your background does a really good job of establishing the mood for this wallpaper, and the quality of the background itself is great. I thought a few areas of the lineart was a tad off, but I don't wish to take anything away from the sheer effort you've put into this, especially considering that you did this at such a large resolution to boot.

You also couldn't have picked a much better scan than the Raccoon Mario image, in my opinion, but I'm biased towards anything Super Mario Bros. 3 related. :P Still, it's extremely fitting for what you were intending to do. Overall, this effort of yours has put me in a slightly happier mood, and it's pleasing to know that such great results can exist with a little time, imagination, and self-expression. Very well done!

Mario bros...hmm the one that still remind me of this thing of course the music, i was even used it in my cell phone ringtone back then XD i also still remember why in the hell i try to jump around just to get infinite power haha

Although I can see clearly that your rushed your way in doing this wallpaper ^^;

For starters, even though it's not much, I can see some gray fragments on top of Mario's right hand middle finger >.o

As for the background, I can see some jagged corners on the green parts (grass).

These are not horribly bad mistakes, but they can show that you were not so careful while making the wallpaper.

It is still a very cute and nice retro wallpaper though :P Good work lil bro.
