This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

My Fifth Wallpaper

Yes,I know that the "Desktop Eagle-Eye View" theme is overused, but I've always wanted to make a wallpaper like this.

The Works :

-Brushes : Over 15 sets. Can't list them, but thanks to everyone that made them.
-Layers : 32
-Time spent : About 7-8 hours
-Made on : 03-04.05.2008
-Scans : Found them in my gallery. I forgot where I got them from.

I made the pencils and the Polaroid-style pics myself. The rest of the stuff is either made with brushes or with the help of tutorials.

AIR TV is my favorite anime ATM, and I had fun making this wall.

Overall is nice, but for my taste, the items look too computerized... :| emoticon

they are kind of... just there.. randomly.. for me it looks more like a board than a desktop so maybe that's why?.. Anyway I love the CD it looks amazing and the effect the scratched text is there 8)E emoticon

Awesome lovely Picture memories air wallpaper.

The background is a nice excellent art just like a drawing board and it looks really nice,the colours and the designs are matching its great

The pictures are lovely,with nice romantic and friendship memories,first pic is very cute,second pic a lovely relationship,the third pic is a nice pic staring at the sky which is wonderful,an awesome and excellent masterpiece wallpaper

Cute concept, and I love the pictures you used to make it...I think though the ribbons are a bit too see through, and the pencils look well..too computerized...maybe add a bit of shadow as well! Great job otherwise! (n_n)/ emoticon

I really your sky that look pretty real to me.
I didn't see a lot of good day sky like this one.
You choose a beautiful scan to make your wall, never saw it.
The water looks well, and I think it would be nicer to see more of it rather than the wall.

I really like this. Though, I think you should have gone for either a more cartoon-drawn style artwork or a realistic style. You seem to have mixed and matched cartoon-style elements(the pencils, the scissors(on second though, maybe with the scissors it's a scale issue - they're only half as big as the pencils), etc) with things drawn in a very realistic style(the protractor, the ribbon, the paperclips, the feather, etc). The stuff you drew realistically looks very good, especially the protractor.

I like how you set the anime pictures as snapshots and a cd image.

You put things directly from the anime into it, such as the sticky note... my favorite is how you used the actual AIR CD. *nodnod*

Quite nice!

Though I can't immediately tell what you are trying to get across. The '100th Summer' having being carved by a pair of scissors looks rather a disturbing thing for Misuzu to do... ^^;

Also a Minagi CD looks out of place if this were Misuzu's desk. Yet there is writing clearly written first hand by Misuzu, but the desk is too childish to be Yukito's.

This isn't a criticism of the way this wallpaper is crafted, though, for I think it has been done well. You've also avoided making the desk looks too realistic to fit-in with the game CG. perhaps it's because you've upped the contrast?
