Well, it's good that you vectored the scan but I think the main problem here are the colors.
I don't know if a very strong flashlight gives her that face color during a sunset or what but I think it would look better in daylight.
Also, the road he is "floating" on is too blurry and actually looks like a magical mist that evolves under him wherever he goes.
more bats wouldn't hurt imho and the grass is too high or the trees are too low/small.
With the background being "distant" (all is black without details) the wall has no depth and the background looks weird with the characters.
