After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

That and also because it's a Murata Range painted scan so it's a hard one. There is also texts all over the character.

Alright, I spent a ton of time with this wall and approximately 100 layers... though the final is around 25 or so. I utilized several tutorials at pslover.com to figure out the stars and planets and added the multicolored haze and light effects myself. The scan extraction was also cleaned up more from my previous version and has more layered versions of it with different effects to help with the lighting. Let me know what you think.

Odd resolution. It looks good, but there are a few things.. The bright line along the left side, from the mech(?), really stands out too much. The texture on the bottom right planet seems too simple/lo-res. The flare thing in the center doesn't look right, like it is at 50% opacity. Try making it an overlay layer at 100% instead.

The lighting's a little off. And its a widescreed WP. Other than that, Very nice. 100 layers huh? That must've hurt...

Very interesting wallpaper, well done on the use of these various effects to create a darker atmosphere. I'm not sure if this is the effect that you wanted to create, but notice that the large star-shaped thing is paler than the character yet it still shows through? Is it supposed to be behind the character or in front?

However, I do really appreciate the effort that you put into this wallpaper, widescreen and all! I think we need more widescreen wallpapers...

This could end up being a wonderful masterpiece but for some reason its not. I just can't explain it in words. Its like the colors seemed blurred out or something. Maybe their just not as vibrant as they should be. The planets seem weird and out of place when compared to the character render. Its just one of those walls where I like the concept and the effects but for some reason they just don't fit together.
My mission is clear: I...must...kill ... TOTORO!

Great wallpaper, I would have chosen more warmer colors though to fit more with Mai.

I went and edited it 1600x1200 so it fits my screen (Increased canvas, scaled it to fit, colored the background to black and added a white stroke), hope you don't mind.

Yeah it's definitly nice! I like the way you recreated the lightning on mai :) It really suits the whole scene. Although I would have prefered make her stand out more - since it is more about Mai and Mai HiME than about planets. But that is only my personal opinion. Nevertheless the wallpaper is great :) Good job!

ill say it again, the lighting on mai is pretty off
other than that, the space theme improved a little

Gosh, that's a whole lot of layers O_O!! You really put A LOT of effort in it! The choosen character is a wonderful match for the beautiful, ellusive backgrpund. The shading on the chracter and the position in the wall that you had put her in was a marvelous idea! Congrats on a job well done! I will surely fave this fruit of labor XD...

Very nice wallpaper, something does make it only a bit from perfect, the colors of mai dont seem to really match too well, it almost seems blury and dark due to the colors.
