A recent creation of mine that is the result of my sudden obsessio- liking to the Fate Stay Night series. I was looking through some images and came across one I liked, one that was not so much centered on Saber's character, but one that was more focused on the storyline. As much as one image can tell, this is a battle with Tohsaka, Saber, and Iilya's monster Berserker.

After learning a lot in Photoshop recently after scouring the internet for tutorials, I thought I would try out some new techniques I had learned on this wallpaper. I spent around one and a half to two hours on this piece, experimenting with layer styles, and trying to find what background style would work for this piece. I ended up deciding that a sunset-like or dark style sky would work as it seemed that a cheery sky wouldn't fit some epic battle. I'm no great shakes at creating actual clouds so I attempted a hazy style, however it was also my intent that most of the attention be drawn to the battle itself. Backgrounds are important, but in this piece, the foreground has all the action.

I wasn't incredibly pleased with the text, but after a bit of trial and error I found it didn't look that bad. I'd say working with text is actually one of the hardest things to do with imaging, this was no exception.
