Say cheese!
That's right, don't be shy: three, two, one... *camera flash*
Well, as you can see from Haruhi's smile, it seems a bit 'cheesy' and somewhat mischievous, hence the title 'Cheesy Days'. (according to ~DarkAliaz, Haruhi looks freaky, I disagree. :D)
Oh yes, simplicity is the way to go, though minimalistic, the wall soaked up quite some time. Don't worry, the block of cheese is there for a reason (pun effect).
Vectoring Haruhi (the original scan can be found here) was like a yoyo (haven't encountered one of those in ages), 'cause I can't generate the motivation to constantly outline and colour. Don't fret, it wasn't all that bad; the eyes were pretty fun, though I was worried at first, since KyoAni's style of eyes seem difficult and complex -- it's actually simple.
I adore simplicity, 'cause it's cool and stylish, with a hint of professionalism. I wanted to incorporate the three aspects, and did exactly just that, with a sprinkle of cheese, of course. The 'H' on the right obviously denotes 'Haruhi' and as for the block of cheese, go figure.
