Okay, time has gone by and I really feel like I should have written a longer comment because I've put all my passion into this. Truth is, this wallpaper is a little personal as it is based on my experiences during the past summer holiday. Darn, those were fun times ...
I travelled by train a lot at the time and loved savouring every moment of summer freedom, like there was no tomorrow, as if it was the last summer on Earth { Jee, wonder why I thought that? guess watching AIR had something to do with it XP }
There's this amazing feeling you get when you're travelling by train on such a day and just opening the window to take a deep breath of freedom.
I was, of course, sad when routine finally came with the end of summer, and a memory of the field and train were stuck in my head. Hence the wallpaper.
Okay, enough sentimentalism ... technical details ~ I was really lucky to find such a spectacular Makoto Shinkai scan { which is hard as hell to work with } on AP. Spent some time taking photos of trains and using them as reference, vectoring them. Drawing trains is harder than I thought and, even though the result may not be perfect, I did give it my best.Then added some DA textures for the finishing touch. I can't remember exactly, this wallpaper took around 2-3 weeks to make.
