I liked the thumbnail when I first saw it and liked the wallpaper even more when I full-viewed it. I think you did a good job with creating an atmosphere, the part I like most is the contrast between the pink and purple colors. You really made the vector stand out and I don't think the background is lacking anything.

However, maybe you'd like to try refining the stars a bit (I assumed they're stars because they get cut off near the mountains). This tutorial is quite easy and you'll have lovely results.
Second, the rope (?) that ties the curtain is kind of distracting, the yellow doesn't really blend in with the rest of the elements. Maybe you can make it darker?

Nevertheless, I like your work and I'm happy I've found my next desktop ^_^ Keep up the good work!

Oh, and do you mind if I make myself a widescreen version of this so I can use it? No cutting off the credits, of course :)
