This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Okay, I was searching for a suitable scan for my ideas but unfortunately i didn't find one yet.
So i decided to use this scan which was on my pc since long time.and in fact my cousin Anime-Girl AKA AG gave me it.
Thanks AG for the scan :D
Oh well, i made the background from many brushes and i added different textures from DeviantArt.I played with the blendings options to blend all the brushes and the textures together.
After that i changed the colors as i used to do.

I like the color theme of this wall, the brushes in the backround fits very good.
One thing that I don't like are the cross between Scan and backround. The outlines do you know hat I mean?

That is not realy a problem for not faving it

Man I love Neon Genesis Evangelion Wallpapers!
This one in particular is awsome!
I like the scan and i like how the scan of Rei Ayanami Begins to blend in with the background.
So in Fact it does give "The Illusion."

Huh, I downloaded this scan yesterday and wanted to make a wall from that but you were first:))
It's absolutely beautiful work, I love the colors and all the effects you have added. Especially the cool blue theme, I was always very fond of blue, ya know.

Awwwwww Rei looks so Kawaii in the wall her eyes stick out and it makes her look so interesting. The blue / green is such a nice color to go with the wall. Nice title it suits it very nicely. The grid on the one side is also a nice touch, I inperticularly like the maple leaves.
