Some words about...
Inspiration: the scan itself! When I first saw it I just pictured in my head the composition you are looking at.
Time: approximately 8 hours (6 hours vectoring and coloring the scan and 2 hours combigning the elements)
Style: minimalistic, dark, with a lot free space (at least in the widescreen edition). Also a mixture of vectoring and digital painting techniques used for the coloring of the scan.
Layers: only 41 (I don't like using a huge amount of layers ^^)
Tools: Adobe Photoshop CS3, Wacom Bamboo tablet
Elements used...
Scan: found here in AP. Actually it is a scan of Kaori Yuki's manga series "Fairy Cube".
Texture: found in da by MouritsaDA-Stock (Texture_pack__vol_21)
Brush: found also in da by PrettyBrush (Pretty Wings)
Text: the japanese text means "Fairy Cube" and was copied-pasted by wikipedia... As for the english one... just read the manga :P
