Please full-view! Widescreen is DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED. Standard res is a pile of poo-poo because you can't appreciate the whole sky~ Too bad my monitor is a tiny standard res. *laugh*
So yes, my first wallpaper of the new year! Happy 2009! And this wall is also in honor of other things as well. ~__~ Like my last day before going back to school (noo...), and it's also my oldest brother's birthday. He turns 30. O__o Now, if he liked anime I could've passed this off as a b-day gift. Too bad he doesn't; now I'm still stuck without having something for him. ^^;; Oh well!! Anyhoo, this is my SECOND attempt at painting! I had fun again. I really like painting skies, and I believe my clouds are getting better! ^_^ First off, the original...this is from a screenshot I took of the first ending of Over Drive. ♥ I recently finished watching it, and I loved it! And I noticed no one has made an OD wall yet, so why not? Woot for the first in the category! But I know that means it isn't "popular"... Here's the screenshot:
Now I don't deserve all the credit for the vector >< My dear sweet Oli-chan helped me out MAJORLY. When I decided to work on this, I was excited. I wanted to do the sky really badly...but then when I started the vector, I became blocked. D; I froze, and I just got really depressed...so I asked her to help me. The sweetie that she is, well, she did. And she did it all for me. XD But then when she gave it to me, I took some liberties and changed a lot of things. ^^; (sorry, Oli-chan!) I redid her eyes, nose mouth, changed the color of her skin, hair, blurred things, smudged some, and then painted in details into her hair. So I made her more of a painting than a rigid vector because she didn't blend as well with my painted bg as it was. ^^;; I had fun with that...I like her hair. ♥
Then I felt the sky was a bit too plain, so I thought that she looked like she was gazing up into the sky, looking at a plane...so I drew some plane smoke streaks and found a plane and painted it. >< So yeah. This took a week of work...a lot of hours...I hope you like it! Comments/faves GREATLY appreciated. ^__^
