Iconic and instantly recognizable aren't normally words I would use to describe a wallpaper, but then again, it's not everyday you see a portion of the Sistine Chapel cieling re-created with the cast of The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya. °PaoPorsche has executed this hilarious wallpaper with creativity and style, starting with a very mismatched collection of scans and bringing them together as one in a very convincing (and entertaining) way.

Hi everyone...
This was a request from a dear friend of mine.She is one those hotblooded Htiman Reborn fans ^_^.She asked me to make a wall of Mukuro's Face (a kind of portrait) with same style as my Messenger of the Spring wallpaper...
Since Im not a Reborn fan so it was expected I had very few scan of this anime =( ) emoticon

and I barely knew what he even looked like ...after lots of seaching for a scan that I can use as an outline refrence, I came across this scan

well...It was good enough to be of some use in the painting process of the face!!
The rest of the process was simple.Painted the FACE and HAIR from the scratch then mouth and that part of black coat and..............
Paid special attention to the light effects and refrained from adding extra effects since she wanted the face to be the main focus.Made him look more evil since I prefer guys with evilish look ^^
The light effect on that fence was killer...
The process was finished in a week(including breaks)...Gladly I have become faster at painting due to practicing regularly.
Hope it's not too bright for your taste since I was aiming for a bright afternoon with intense emition of sunlight (It was even brighter but lower the brightness alot).
Best viewed in Wide resolution !

Only thing i dunno about is the text on his clothes... dunno if its needed or not. =P

Wow, very well painted! The hair and the fence totally caught my attention. The hair being red and the way it was painted was detailed to notice which made my eyes to move from the top to the end of the strands. Of course, not to mention the overall Mukuro's face is a total attention-getter. I also love the atmosphere of bright afternoon the wall has which gave me a feeling of...err, excitement as there maybe some unknown activities that might happen.

The hair and the eyes are just pure love, while the lips look really evil, but still sexy though >3 Getting a tablet certainly has enhanced your skills in painting and making wallpapers. The fence might look better with some texture though ^.^

Still, awesome painting everywhere and *drools* the fact that he's a bishie although I don't watch the series adds extra marks to it < 3 So in other words, it's a sure fave =p

P.S: Don't I get an Eyes Rutherford wallpaper too? 8)E emoticon

Excellent job on the painting I really love the textures you gave to the face it makes it look much more life like and less flat a good wall always has depth. The colors are rich and full and the pure raw emotion flows through the eyes and in to the person looking at the screen. I think you really gave it life like you do to all your walls and made it shine. I think it's captivating and very sexy if I do say so myself lol. XD A+ and a fav nice job my friend.

First off, I think you're really good at vectoring. =]
but I doubt I would wanna put a headshot on my desktop >< it will scare me xD

uhm compared to the original scan, you've brought so much more focus on the face and maybe that's why I think his mouth looks really flat. The original had a wider line that really shows the puff of his lips and the shape but this one doesn't look like a mouth.

Also, I understand the fact that you want to smudge your vector and it looks very clean and nice, but leaving some well defined brush marks on your character can make him look more defined and natural. =D that's just my personal opinion. Apart from that, good job~

The paintjob is really good. The colours are good and i especially like the shading that gives the face its depths at places. The fence is pretty well done, but somehow I find the face to be a little off. I think it's the lips, which in my opinion, looks a bit wierd. Other than that, I think that the wallpaper is generally okay. Good work.

It's a very attractive wallpaper. The graceful and beautiful protagonist in this wallpaper is very impressive. His face is filled with curious mystery, with an evil plot hidden somewhere (I'm certain of it). His appearance is polished to perfection, he's extremely distinguished and I'm very impressed by his refinement.

The background provides a wonderful atmosphere and also compliments the vibrancy/light on the protagonist. You have crafted this wallpaper very beautifully and I admire your skills, thank you for sharing this wonderful wallpaper and WELL DONE!

OMG,it's Mukuro,and it's an image I've never seen before...I taught that wasn't possible...lol
I love every bit of this,the coloring style,the fence,his eyes plotting an evil plan...everything's just perfect...btw,do you use a tablet,for painting?

I really like the scan you used and your work on the fence is impressive!
I'm not sure what I think of the lips, cause there's something about them that doesn't make them look as "integrated" into the face as they could be. Hmm.
And I like the hands in the original scan, so if I made the wall I would have placed the head higher and put in a hand on the left to make it have a more inviting scene (as opposed to just a face). But since your friend wanted only his face, well...
Good wall though. I think I prefer your Messenger of Spring wall more because I think it looks softer. XD
