As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. When I was watching the series a second time, I saw this shot in the second to last episode, and I knew then that I had to vector it! After I succesfully finished my vector, I knew that I had to have an abstract background, because nothing else would work. For a long time, I had problems making one that would work, but after spending much time in an unfinished projects folder, inspiration came and I finished the wallpaper. I got the floral brushes from deviantart.com, and here is the link to the screenshot I used: clicky//

It's really a nice vectoring and the choice of the screenshot to vector is good too ;-)
I like this wallpaper but the background it's a little bit weird but ok; by that i mean :
the vector is full of colors and the background is black & white and that is confusing me.
Anyway, great work & fav

Cool you submited it! I still think it would of looked better if you had differn't line width on them and changed the font but its still a good wallpaper. Good job!

Ah! I remember this wall in Session zero! I don't think I commented though ^^" Gomen. Congrats on the approval though ^^ And the end result is really nice! Though the vector could do with bits of improvement e.g lighting. But the brush work in this wall is really nice, simple but nice ;D Nice job! ^^b

Ooh, I must say that I like this wallpaper because of the PAIRING! omg, there should SO be more Anemone and Dominic wallies! anyway about the wallpaper, vector is smooth, very nice, dominic looks more happier than in the original picture, sure why not, hmm his eyes are alittle smaller, or the pupil, the backround is REALLY AWESOME, just fantastic piece of art, and im not too sure if it all fits together. They're looking up and beyong and there's flowers behind them. well, okay. cause the backround is so good!! keep up the great work!! you're an awesome waller!!

Oh yes, i had a glimps of this at SZ so i'm happy you finally finished it.
The vector loooks very nice, kind of simple but good in a way. I like the brushes you chose to make the abstract bg. Its it that extra creatvity

I should say that a scenic type of wall will fit more with the whole idea, even the floral background looks nice, the image for itself dont fit with it, cause the vector is filled with colors and the back is monochromatic.

About the vector, there is some few parts on the outline that need work, for example on all the round forms for example Dominique's neck buttons and the badge on his arm, maybe you can try using the ellipse tool for a time and just trace the circle until you get the enough skill to make it using just the pen tool.
