This is a wall i did about a year ago. Since I don't have much time to make new ones anymore. I started this wall for a contest that Nat held awhile back. we had to use one of her scans and make a wallpaper out of it. You can view part of the ontest image here http://www.digitalmunky.net/rahxephonoriginal.jpg . I pretty much colored her and recreated some of her hair and scarf. I know the scarf could be a bit smoother but I just don't have the time to fix it right now. :P too much work to do. hehe. The background is created from a stock photo of some trees at night. and then i just made some stars and and stuff. I also added a few vector objects at the bottom to fill in the emptiness it had. I hope you all like it. Hopefully I can share a new wallpaper with everyone in the future. :)

The pale pastels of greens and blues gives the wall a nice, calming effect. I love it.

It looks good. She certainly has a healthy glow. I love the little vector objects, they help a lot.

I think it looks pretty. The combination of light green and blue is always beautiful.

Wow this is unlike any of the Rahxephon wallpapers I have seen so far, this one has a nice feeling of calm feel good. This makes for great eye candy I especially love how the lighting contrasts with the beautiful scenery. "I pretty much colored her and recreated some of her hair and scarf. As for re-creating it from the original theres an easier solution, if you goto the scans section on this site theres already a recreated version.

Thanks for all the compliments everyone. and Dimsim..I wish I had the recreated version when I started on this wall..haha. woulda made it easier but the thing is I did this wall like a year ago. =X hehe. Thanks again everyone.

A very interesting wallpaper, but the rought look of the character kind of mars things; the extraction is too rought, especially around the arms and shoulders. The BG is good, but it seems a bit too simple, you could do a lot more to make it more interesting and add some depht. Overall this wall needs a bit of work.

Wow, this color scheme really suits Reika well. I like the trees/mist/moonlight thing.

this wall could use some major work.
first off, the scan. what a mess. you did a pretty good job recg-ing it, but the quality is a mess. you should have done some touch-ups to make it look less...messy. do some blurs and overlays and stuff. the scan, minus the recg-ing, shows super lack of effort.
the background. it doesn't do anything for me. i've seen those a million times. and since reika is more of a warm color character (concidering her dress is yellow, her hair is brown, and her eyes are like...freakin red-ish brown) seeing her in cool colors doesn't do it for me either. i'm not huge on the fact that it doesn't at all go with rahxephon in the least. and i loved rahxephon.
yeah, the background is pretty. yeah, it matches her recolored dress. but like i said...i've seen this a million times.
sorry if i sound mean, but this is the kind of critique AP used to give before it was overflowed with stuff like this and the people who critiqued got sick of writting the same old stuff.
i would hope you'd concider trying out some other stuff on this wall, because it DOES have potential.

Wow Kalico..I didn't know my wall was that awful...I did spend quite a few hours on it...and I really just wanted to make my own colors for the character since It was originally done for a wallpaper contest. Again...I did this awhile back about a year ago. I just thought I'd share it with the AP community. I actually placed second after "Bantam" who got first....:P
Also, the scan was from a wallpaper contest on the Ningen.tk website. It was the scan we were suppose to use from "Nat".
But I would suppose you are more experienced with walls compared to me.
Anyways...thanks for the criticism. I guess I won't be submitting any new walls anytime soon. I'll prolly just stick with my web designing.

I like that soft feeling this wall carries, a bit more work on the image quality and transparenting is what you need though. Overall, good job.

AH so beautiful. Indeed I love the copper sulfate colors used and the magical glow surrounding the scan. It feels like she is part of the Aurora Borealis or Australis. Its quite beautiful. Great Job.

Yeah.. the scan is seriously poorly extracted and the colours look sort of washed out. But the rest of the wall is beautiful.. the conifer trees are particularly well-done. I'm not sure why they don't continue to the right side of the wall, it looks like you used a different stock image for the foliage there. The stars for some reason are in FRONT of the trees - they should be behind ie not visible within the outlines of the forest. Another thing that doesn't make sense is the rays of light coming in from the right, but since it looks nice and fits the mood I won't say anything else about that O_o; And finally although the swirls down at the bottom, and brushed-in butterfly and circles do look nice, I don't think they're that necessary >.>

The only bad point I see is the scan. Just don't look too clean/sharp. Other than that it quite nice. But as Kalico said, seen these kind of BG before but I still like it. Not old to me as of yet. ^_^

Wow, this is really pretty. I have seen the original image with the purple colored dress, but I like your version a lot more! I love the tranquil green and blue colors. It is a really nice mix and adds a sense of serenity and calmness to the wallpaper. Really great job! Another one of my favorite. ^^
