So it's been a long time since I've been here. Almost 2 years now. I've kind of neglected making any wallpapers with all of my school work. But now it's summer and I was bored one evening and didn't want to move because I had just overate. This was what came out of it. I decided to find an line-art image (http://www.animepaper.net/gallery/scans/Natsuki-Sumeragi/item65870/) and paint the image in photoshop. I've tried to get myself into painting with acrylics on canvas, but the art store was closed when I wanted to paint and I didn't have anything to paint on. So I opened photoshop, and did this pretty much in one sitting. I've done one wall where I painted in line art before, but this one was much different. I tried to make the shadows and highlights look the most realistic, while making it still have the overall feel of a sketch. I'm not sure how successful I actually was at doing this...
Anyways, I wanted the actually background to be pretty plain. The text comes from a Billie Holiday song, "Embraceable You." I've just gotten a bunch of jazz classics and I thought the words fit pretty well.
So I'm glad to be back and hopefully this time it will be for good. If not, at least I hope you guys enjoy it, and if not, at least I got myself a background for my own desktop.
