This wallpaper is my first wallpaper; unfortunately the first time I submitted it I messed up and submitted my deviantart gallery version. Oppsie; well it appears on http://tinanewtonart.deviantart.com (please don't reject again)
Made with Adobe Photoshop CS2 8.0 and a scan from Animepaper; it took me two days to make over fifty layers for Eureka alone, many layers of gradients, color, shading, and strenuous tedious vectoring with my pen and tablet to make the outline.
Many people told me that I should do a watercolor BG, however I tried and it made the vector look cheapened and blah! Another person had the great Idea of vectored swirls in black and white; but the black was just too hard of a color. I decided to give it a contrasting vectored ray effect with contrasting patterns inset behind the rays. note the shadow of the headphone line even casts a shadow in a different depth on the BG than it does on the BG.
I love the font I used on the BG it is called "Downwind" and I got it from http://www.fontasy.net (this site has over 16,000 fonts) I customized the styles used for both style logos/slogans. I appologize for all the blue hues but it matches my Stardock Windowblinds Shell theme and Icon suite that I use on my Vaio! I was really hoping that this wallpaper would be my first one.
The slogan "Riding the Waves of Life... Listening to the Soundtrack of your Soul" has a personal story behind it. I am a crazy artist that loves surfing and constantly listens to music. Very seldom do you see me without a pair of headphones on, (and when I don't you have to yell above the stereo) I wear them slightly behind my ears so I hear the rest of the world and "have my soundtrack to my life."
"Riding the waves of life" (symbolism for Eureka's struggle to ride through the trials and tribulations that she faced during her life and it goes along with the series ref-boarding theme)
"Listening to the Soundtrack of your Soul" (Music being a calming aspect of everyone's life {including mine} is included because it's fitting to the style of the anime with it's Techno Rhythms and the series fab soundtrack) Eureka is a bit of a hero of mine. An Anenome wall will be my next submission, if this one makes it.. (crosses fingers)
Thanks to all the people in Session Zero for all you comments the first time around.
Blue is my favorite color indeed, can you tell? HA HA
Everyone enjoy the wall! Have a great day!
