Ahh it feels good to wall CLAMP art, there's always an extra bit of inspiration I feel when I work with their artwork. This wallpaper turned out even better than I hoped, kept an olden color and texture of the wallpaper and played around with a different way to make a background using old brushes I found on my hard drive and some new textures.

There were a few layers devoted to blending the render to the background and then the foreground. I honestly think this was the longest I've spent on a wallpaper in a long time and I've got to say that it was time well spent ^__^

EDIT: I've increased the scan size to help with recognition and toned down the bottom left's brushwork as suggested.
