Second half of my dual screen wallpaper which was apparently deleted ages ago. Chroma Anime has the dual screen version.
EDIT: Since people probably want to know, here's the explanation behind the wallpaper. No fairy tales. Just how this wallpaper came to be.
I did this for a contest a long time ago. The rule was to use a scan that had our our lady here, the stairway, and the sorcerer in #1. Before I retired, I would usually repaint the scans I use, but for this contest, the rule was not to edit anything. Just the background. The contest organizers said that, "it was out of respect for the artist, Yoshitaka Amano."
I figured the best way to honor Amano's artwork was to make them the focal points of the wallpaper (and somehow still be creative). For this wallpaper, you will see the lady, the stairway, and the city. The only reasons why the background is what it is are 1) I wanted to draw clouds around the stairs and 2) I wanted to feature Amano's city. Why Amano's city looks bland, color-wise - Amano himself drew it that way, so that's what's best.
Nothing repainted. No reCG's. All Amano's unedited work put together, basically, plus some extra stuff by yours truly. Even the texture is Amano's, for crying out loud.
Lastly, the light and dark effect was unintentional. But to the people who like the contrast, thank you. I'm glad.
