I've done this actually a long time ago, but posting it just now. Mostly I used different filters and pattern to make the background. This wallpaper stole about 4 hours from my life, but I am pretty happy by the way it has turned out.

@^ ...isnt it a girl?? XD i dunno.. well i like the colors...finding a lot of monotone-ish walls these days..and the way the person stands out from the background is good too...well i like how she stands out..but also blends in! XD +fav

I don't care for Lady but awesome wallpaper. I love DMC3! Can't wait till DMC4 comes out... looks good.. Anyways, good job and keep up the good work.

I like the way you play with the eyes colour.
the fonts are appropriately done, in my opinion; not too outstanding to the extent of eording the attention from the character & it does not blend into the background too much to go unnotice.

Wow. Four hours well spent! I think that the background really helps to bring out the eyes, and show the contrast between them. That, I think, helps this wall a great deal towards looking nice.
