NOTE: Don't mind the compression noise in the thumbnail. It's not there in the fullversion.
A wallpaper project that started back on 11 December 2005. Didn't find the motivation to complete it due to the Angelic Layer wallpaper that pretty much took out all enthusiasm out of me to complete this wallpaper (there's a Fate/Stay Night wallpaper pending which I also worked concurrently with this wallpaper but have yet to feel like completing it). For something so easy, it took me so long...meh.
Anyway, I felt like going for a background that only has curves without any sharp corners to better reflect Yume-chan's pleasant and quiet personality. Nothing too fancy/elaborate but not too boring either. The texts on the right was vectored from the scan. Safe to say that I'm going for that old-school look that can be seen in minimalistic wallpapers a few years back.
Character was initially taken from the same scan but was plague by scan problems (i.e. graininess and scanlines) which I could not detect on my monitor (turned out that the brightness setting was a bit low so I couldn't see the graininess) until pointed out at AL. I ended up vectoring the character since I don't see much difference in time taken to do a normal cleanup.
And Shuei...it took me close to 8 hours vectoring this (on and off with watching animes on the side). I'm not on drugs nor am I using a laptop mouse. I suck. :)
